The Energizer Bunny has to be one of the "coolest cats" in the history of advertising. Wearing dark shades, he marches to the beat of his own drum, and rolls right over his competition and evil villains galore.

Even his first appearance was award-winning. He first hopped into the spotlight in 1989, to help Eveready Batteries introduce their new Energizer batteries. Designed by Chiat/Day/Mojo, an advertising agency in Venice, California, the Energizer Bunny glided across television prime time to become the world's first hot pink superstar. He just kept "going and going and going," outlasting toy after toy. Then he appeared in fictional product commercials, "still going." Soon, his message became so well-known that he moved away from toys to go up against the likes of evil scientists, Darth Vader, King Kong, and Wile E. Coyote. Suffice it to say that he knocked their lights out!

So don't let his pink fur fool you . . . this guy's a real cool character! And even if he never says a word, when he smiles we all know what he's thinking!

Here, he's a lifesize plush figure, with a removable vinyl drum, mallets, sandals, and real sunglasses. He was first offered to consumers in exchange for proofs-of-purchase from packages of Energizer batteries in 1990.
