We guarantee you won't blow up if you use this phone, but the bugs will! This giant acid-green and slime-yellow bug is unsuspectingly carrying a big red bomb on his shoulders. You listen to the bomb and talk into the grill at the bug's feet in this touch-tone phone from the early 1980's.
The Raid Bug has been used in S.C. Johnson's advertising since 1956. It's a mean looking character with crossed eyes and a tuft of spiky black hair on its head. It's animators included many famous Hollywood artists, and its voice was portrayed by Mel Blanc.
The S.C. Johnson & Sons company was founded in 1886 by Samuel C. Johnson. Raid was the company's first indoor/outdoor insecticide product.
