Sometimes the character from a product is just right for three-dimensional representation as a premium figure. The Blue Bonnet girl from the package of Blue Bonnet margarine is a perfect advertising doll.

She was first offered in 1972 as a traditional plastic doll with a blond wig and blue eyes. She was dressed in a bright blue taffeta dress lavishly embellished with white lace and blue satin ribbon. She was also the first one of a set of 27 American Heritage Colection dolls.

In 1986, Nabisco offered a free Blue Bonnet Sue in cloth, with yellow yarn hair and printed features intended for small children to play with. This is the lovely girl you see here.
